After 2016, we hope to expand the AwardBest line to include varieties of non-rice aromatic foods that have already won "world's best" awards. Spices, such as vanilla, are an obvious "brand extension" possibility.
Vanilla is traditionally sold as an extract, because extracts were the only way to capture vanilla's flavor before the global "cold chain" came into existence at the turn of the millennium. A small portion of the global crop is packed as bean-containing pods (shown) for the gourmet market.
Perhaps AwardBest's patent-pending approach could be applied to vanilla, too. (Our patent application was written with vanilla and other spices in mind, in addition to aromatic rice.)
We shall see...but not yet. :-)
